The video made me ask some more questions. Is open- or close-mindedness only about what they say here? Is it also about how one deals with criticism? What is criticism, actually? Is it rational or emotional? Sometimes one, sometimes the other? Both? Is open-mindedness, as defined here, enough to be a good person and avoid hurting people destructively? (This is a crucial question for me, because being a good person, fully human, is what I’m aiming at.) Is open-heartedness as necessary as open-mindedness? Just don’t ask me for the definiton of open-heartedness – that would take a book. Anyway, I’m just thinking aloud. Asking questions is very much like me, at least at the present stage of my life.
